RPC Point of Sale Submit Account Error & MSDTC Services Error

Problem : After instollation SQL Express and M.M.7.0

1. RPC errore while submitting  POS Submit account 
2. Error Message like " MSDTC SERVICES IS NOT RUNNING "


Solution :
1.

exec sp_serveroption @server='myserver', @optname='rpc', @optvalue='true'

exec sp_serveroption @server='myserver', @optname='rpc out', @optvalue='true'

Note:  Replace 'myserver' with your servername in the above query.

2. Go to Services (Control Panel-- Administrative Tools--Services ) and then start the service 'Distributed Transaction Coordinator' (MSDTC) with start up type as 'Automatic' and Log On As 'Network Service' as shown in the attachment.   Then execute the below mentioned Query relating to 'RPC' error to solve the problem.

DESPATCH DAY END ERROR.

WHILE PERFORMING SHIFT END IN DESPATCH MODULE , IF AN ERROR SHOWN IN THE PICUTRE COMES, DOWN LOAD THE SCRIPT FILE AND EXECUTE IT.  ALSO REPLACE THE NEW DESPATCH EXE.

Meghdoot Point of Sale Error -

New installation or after updating to Update 1 of Meghdoot 

Error appeared during  booking of  Registered /  Speed post articles ...

"Runtime error '8015 Cout not set comm state, there may be one or more invalid communctions parameters'".

The error is occurred because the counter is in Weihing machine mode.   Go to Tools menu ->  click on weighing machine and press ok. ( Now weighing machine has changed into manual mode)

The new rate of service tax w.e.f 01-04-2012  = 12 %

Education cess w.e.f 01-04-2012 = 2 %

Higher Secondary Education cess  w.e.f 01-04-2012 = 1%

The rate of service tax is = 12.36 %

SERVICE TAX FOR PREMIUM PRODUCTS RAISED

Service tax for various premium products like Speed post, Express Parcel Post raised by 12%. There is no change in Education Cess(2%) and and Higher Secondary Education Cess(1%). Thus the effective rate from 1.4.2012 is 12.36%

Note:  Service tax has been revised from 10% to 12% w.e.f. 1-4-2012 for premium products.  But in the case of speedpost booked under 'Local'' and 'One India One Rate ' the existing rate will remain.  ie;

CHANGE THE SERVICE TAX AS 12% INSTEAD OF 10%

NOT CONFIGURE FOR RPC ERROR IN POS.

While doing submitting account in POS the message is flashing “NOT CONFIGURE FOR RPC”. Please go in quarry Analyzer and copy the following quarry and type the server name in place of "my server" and run the quary.

Note: The above error is related to SQL Server configuration settings and not related to the application. (RPC is Remote Procedure Call).
